I'm pretty sure if you've found your way to this site, you already know what a fanlisting is and what it hopes to accomplish. But here's the official definition from TFL.org for those who have been living under a rock for the past few years:

"A fanlisting is simply an online list of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country. [Fanlistings can also require an email address.] Fanlistings do not have to be large sites (although some are), they are just a place where you can sign up with other fans. TFL.org is the original web directory for fanlistings, dedicated to uniting the fans."

Catster is a unique online community that connects cats and their owners with other cats and their owners. Some have compared it with the popular "human" site Friendster, but there really is nothing like Catster online.

At Catster, you can create a page for each of your cats. In fact, Catster's motto is "Where Every Cat Has A Webpage." On each cat's page, you can add photos and share such details as nicknames, bio, likes and dislikes, a "kitty complexion," favorite toys and food, and arrival story. Your kitties can also have their own blogs and journal about their every day lives!

But the best part of Catster is the interaction. You can browse through other cats listed at Catster, and if you see one you like, add it as a "feline friend" to your cat. If a cat is particularly pretty, cute, or playful, you can rank it by giving it up to 5 "paws." And if there's a cat you really like, leave him or her a virtual treat.
